Father Rich Ghezzi
My name is Father Richard Ghezzi and I have recently been named pastor of St. Ann's Parish in Tobyhanna, Pa.
I was born on October 21, 1952, and I spent the first sixteen years of my life in Shamokin, Pa. When our father acquired his business, Valley Bowling Lanes, our entire family moved to Carbondale, Pa. At the age of eighteen I entered the Pennsylvania State University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Public Administration.
After working in my father's business for five years after graduating from Penn State I entered Mary Immaculate Seminary where I earned a Master's degree in Divinity pursuant to ordination to the priesthood. I was ordained on August 30, 1986 by Bishop Timlin in St. Peter's Cathedral in Scranton, Pa.
The priesthood has brought me great joy and happiness over the past twenty years. May the people of St. Ann's Parish grow closer and closer to God and to each other.
